What a refreshing but classic horror RPG experience! I love all the artworks, especially the enemies and the ghosts! I do need more explanation and elaboration (and I definitely need a good ending) but I understand the time constraints and I guess it's just that kind of mysterious free-to-interpret narratives! A suggestion I have is to add more impact on the ghost CGs, like make it a jumpscare with sudden animation/display (not slow fade) and sound effects! I think some more BGMs are needed too to avoid repetition, and maybe use more eery BGMs for eery scenes.

Overall it was really great!!! Really nice to see this genre from an Indo dev :3

Here's my let's play of your game Rakoratasu!

The ending is so sad ;_;... Lol I can't think of anything interesting to say which hasn't been said already, except good job!

I was confused about the story but I think I have to have knowledge about Indonesian culture like the final boss’ name meaning something. I did find a bug with windows counting puzzle.

Good game

Great game, it's short but packs a good punch, it has neat art, RPG battles, puzzles and a nice storytelling neatly wrapped together, the black and white stylistic choice is great and props for the ghost (I did a bit of research after playing and it seems to be a pocong?) illustrations that are really unsettling!

I played some Indonesian indie games and they always deliver with the folklore and creatures, it is so interesting learning with games; I kind of agree that the ending is kinda abrupt but I think it also somehow fits with the story? I am not sure how to explain it.

Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much for playing the game and sharing it through your video!

I’m really glad you enjoyed the visuals, the battle system, and especially that you noticed the folklore elements like the pocong and the Charites. I truly appreciate that you took the time to explore them and even highlight them in your video, it means a lot to me ✨

And yes, I agree the ending feels quite sudden, that was mostly due to the time constraints of the game jam, and it definitely could’ve flowed better. I’ve already prepared an update to improve the ending and fix a few bugs, which I’ll be uploading once the jam period is over.

Thanks again for your thoughtful feedback, I hope you’ll look forward to my future work!

Played and finished it, its fine.

Sadly it ends at the moment the things start to get interesting (unless there is new game+). Wished it was just longer, could be even a tad bit.

On the "last" location, are we suppose to make a ladder? Picked one part, touched the wall and finished the game. After the load decided to go left and also finished the game, if that's a bug/misdesign then one of the few I noticed.

Thanks so much for playing and finishing the game, I really appreciate you taking the time!

I originally planned this as a short story, and due to the time constraints of the game jam, I had to keep it concise. That said, I’ve already planned a sequel where the story will continue and dive deeper into its mystery and emotional threads.

Regarding the last area: the story structure is intentionally non-linear. If you look closely, the forest at the end is the same as the one from the beginning (or vice versa(?)).

The event trigger in the final section (interacting with the wall or going left) is not a bug or misdesing. But might feel a bit abrupt, so I’ll definitely polish that once the jam is over. Thanks for pointing it out!

Thanks again, and I hope you’ll be there for the sequel ✨

I guess this game has to pass some loop or sth, but end that abruptly?

It’s not a loop, the story is actually progressing. I agree the ending feels quite sudden, that was mostly due to the time constraints of the game jam. I’ve already prepared an update to improve the ending and fix a few bugs, which I’ll be uploading once the jam period is over.
